Nick Lachey certainly didn't skimp when it came to selecting the perfect ring for his wife-to-be.
And by the look of things size certainly does matter to the next Mrs Lachey.
Vanessa Minnillo couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she flashed her brand new engagement ring whilst celebrating her 30th birthday in Mexico yesterday.
And who can blame her?
Jessica Simpson's ex husband and his TV presenter fiance announced their engagement yesterday.
The 37-year-old singer and 30-year-old Minnillo have been dating on and off since 2006.
'We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together,' the couple said in a statement to America's Us Magazine.
'They're so happy, doing great,' a source adds. 'Thrilled about it.'

The fact is that they have waited for years because of the scandal that surrounded them hooking in regards to the divorce from Jessica....SMDH! It was a known fact that Vanessa and Jessica became fast friends after meeting at an MTV event in 2003 and frequently enjoyed “girls’ nights out” together....SMDH!
