Taylor Swift Takes on Apple and Wins

Taylor Swift forces Apple Music to change their policy on payment for artists.

Behold the power of Taylor Swift. And tremble.
That's what Apple Music was doing Monday — that's Apple, one of the richest and most powerful corporations in the history of corporations.
But it crumbled like a stale cookie when faced with the sweet determination of a 25-year-old multi-platinum pop star with a reasoning mind of her own and the nerve to use it.
Yes, Taylor, anything you say, Taylor, babbled the grand poohbahs at Apple via Twitter on Sunday.
Chalk one up for the artists in the longstanding see-saw power struggle between musicians and music industry bosses. But will the bosses win in the long-term? Maybe.
Over the weekend, Swift, in one of her signature polite missives, posted an "open letter" (entitled "To Apple, Love, Taylor," ) on Tumblr, taking Apple Music to task for deciding not to pay artists for their music streamed during a free trial period for its new streaming service.
How could a company so "historically progressive and generous" behave this way, she demanded. That's why, she wrote, her album, 1989, the top-selling album of 2014 and of 2015 so far, won't be on Apple's service.
And just like that, Apple reversed its decision.
"We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple," tweeted Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, on Sunday night.

This rat faced chick can't sing, can't dance and can't act. For some reason, she is the most popular singer in hollywood. Either she gave a spectacular performance on the casting couch or she sold her soul or both. I just don't understand why so many little white girls like her.

12:55 They love her because they see themselves in her. She's the average girl next door. She's the perfect representation of white privilege. She's supper successfully and super popular yet her talent doesn't match her success at all. She's below average vocally and her song writing skills are mediocre at best yet she is highly praised by white america.

A good way to tell if a singer can sing is if they sing the National Anthem live. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry have never sang the National Anthem live. When you go to their concerts, it's prerecorded and lip synced. Little white girls still love that rat face bitch and mexicans damn near worship Jennifer Lopez despite the fact that she is Puerto Rican!

That's exactly what Madonna was thirty years ago.

Madonna could dance though and she was a master manipulator of both her image, the press and the men she climbed the ladder on to get where she is, starting with Jelly Bean Benitez.
