Music impressario and Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri and singer Janet Jackson are reportedly splitting.
The National Enquirer says Jackson and Dupri, who have been together for four years and were reportedly pondering marriage, began battling over her recent tour — managed by Dupri — which was a dismal failure, with a string of canceled concerts due to poor ticket sales.
The Enquirer, citing unnamed sources, said the fading superstar, 36, has moved out of Dupri’s Los Angeles home.
“Janet and Jermaine finally hit a wall,” the source was quoted as saying. “They were fighting over his management of her career. In the end, she decided to make a break.”
Whatever their future, Dupri won’t be able to easily forget Jackson. The owner of Atlanta’s So So Def records recently revealed he has Jackson’s image — her hands clasped prayer-like, head covered in a Madonna-esque pose — tatooed along his lower right side, from chest to waistband.
Jackson’s career has been in rapid decline since her debacle at the 2004 Super Bowl, where she exposed her breast during the halftime show.
Her 2008 album, “Discipline,” sold just over 440,000 copies, a far cry from her debut album in 1993, which sold over 7 million.

Isn't Janet like 40 and not 36? and 2) She didn't expose her breast; not in the sense that she got on stage and started stripping; it was a stunt gone wrong for the half time show.

and THIS is why i don't believe in mixing business and pleasure. janet needs to take her self begging to jam & lewis to make her another album as good as "janet." personally i think that people want to see her succeed but she needs to come to terms with the fact that she's no longer 16 years old. stop singing songs to and for about teenagers. there's nothing wrong with being 42. its about time her music reflected it. most of her old fans are too old to be listeing to the teeny bopper music she's putting out.
Every year someone says they are breaking up. First of all, they have been together more than 4 years, her age is wrong and I don't believe anything the National Enquirer has to say. More BS from the media people.

all over a pair of black nipples. paris hilton practically sucked the peen of a dude and she's an international superstar, a black icon moons the audience and her career is down the drain. even if she had a mega hit song, cbs through viacom through radio stations black listed her, mtv black listed her, it would have been the same result.
If you all are going to just regurgitate the National Enquirer every day I don't see any point in coming back here. This was a lame assed story.
