Michael Jackson took home two American Music Awards on Sunday night, bringing his career total to 23.
The late King of Pop earned posthumous awards for Favorite Pop/Rock Male and Soul/R&B Artist. Both were accepted by brother Jermaine on his behalf.
“First of all, I would like to thank Allah, for blessing our entire family,” Jermaine said as he picked up the Pop/Rock Male Award. “It’s not just about the winnings, the awards – it’s really the message. The message that Michael had will live forever, and that’s there’s good in everyone. Start with love, and let’s love each other… We love you, Michael.”
Earlier, Janet Jackson opened the award show with a high-energy medley – and payed tribute to Michael in a new song.

i think janet looked great, dressed age appropriate and didn't feel compelled to show any T&A like the rest of those drones. i liked her performance, but it was evident she was lip synching. no way can you dance/hop all over the stage and still have breath to sing. it's sad that nowadays it's all about the physical performance and not the vocals. that's why anybody can be a damn star. if the industry likes the package, the rest can be fixed.
I still do not like jeraisin.
I think Allah should direct Jermaine to pay the back child support owed for two of his 20 kids.
I think Allah should direct him to find his own shtick and stop using his brother's death for more fame.
I think Allah should make him step back from the pomade. He looks like a California Raisen.
I didnt watch the show, but some performers arent cut out to still do it good like Tina Turner.
And unless you have an album out, you need not perform on any award shows.
So Janet is becoming just like her brothers too.
I guess because of his religion, Jermaniac can thank Allah all he wants, but Michael did not convert to Muslim. I did not watch the show either, but read where he brought one or two of his kids on stage with him and almost carried on as though the award was his. This greasy mofo makes me tired.
