Shy and retiring Alicia Keys released her inner diva in London this week when a hotel suite she had been offered FOR FREE triggered an out-of-character hissy fit.
Alicia had flown into town to promote her amazing new album The Element Of Freedom and was initially more than thrilled to be offered the grandest suite of all at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge.
But upon arrival on Monday morning Alicia was far from happy. Despite the suite being used to accommodate stars of the calibre of Michael Jackson and Madonna over the years, Alicia hated it.
In fact the star – who’s riding high in the charts with Jay-Z on their Empire State Of Mind track – turned on her heel and walked away from what would have been a ¬three-day stay – worth an ¬estimated £5,000 – at the plush London gaff.
My source reveals: “The hotel had been in discussion with Alicia’s team for a week, preparing her suite with her favourite ¬flowers, scents and goodies. The ¬hotel’s Rib Room entrance on Sloane Square had even been closed off at her bodyguard’s request for her arrival. But when they saw the Luxury Suite, Alicia and her people asked for something bigger.
“They were told there wasn’t ¬anything bigger and that the Luxury Suite was the biggest and best in the hotel.
“Basically, Alicia took one look and said she ‘didn’t feel the vibe’. And when she does that, she’s not joking, so the whole ¬entourage piled into her limo and left.”

All of the people who would appreciate FREE stuff can't get a thing! Maybe if celebrities had to pay sometimes they would be a little more appreciative. She fell off after her first album...that is just my opinion.

Ok, I must share that I had a dealing with Keys some years back when her first CD dropped and I can believe this story ya'll.
So back in the days, I worked for a store {I'll leave the name out} that was new to New York City at the time. Anyway, Keys comes in with her mother and request to be shown stock with a personal shopper. The problem was:
1. The store was new and popular with a lot of celebs at the time. We had never been asked for the 'personall shopper' experience and was ill equiped to do so;
2. She came in at like 3 pm. We were super busy
3. She acted like a bitch about the whole situation. Like, some time later, we dealt with Kelis (when she and Nas were on good terms and we provided her the personal shopper just cuz she was nice, in a ditsy kinda way)
Anywho, long story short, some kid walks up to her and asks for an autograph. She turned on her heels, made a bee line to a taxi outside and left. She left without her mother. She caused a bigger distraction doing that. I don't think she understood that famous ppl came in all the time and no one really cared. Again, this is when her first CD came out so maybe she was just adjusting to new stardom....

Yup alicia keys is a bytch, I went to one of her concerts and got backstage passes from tickets i won from the radio station which promised me autographs and pics with her
well long story short she didnt give me my autograph and sent her little workers to give me a premanufactured poster with her signature already pre made on the poster. I was very disappointed. i still stayed backstage cuz it was just exciting to see all the stuff that goes on, she emerges about 10 mins later and i asked for an autograph again, she ignored me and kept walking with her security team, I know she heard me because it was pretty quiet in the section we were in (a small hallway) and she was with 4 guys surrounded by her. she made eye contact with me just as i was starting my sentence.
I yelled out "dyke" and ran without looking back LOL

Main reason why I don't mess with celebs unless I have a valid reason and need to interact with them. The nasty ones give the nice ones a bad name. I've never been a fan of Keys the only song I ever liked of hers was Heartburn. I'm not feeling her fake contribed corny sounding rendition of neo soul.

When little people put their faith and hope in man you get what you deserve- disappointment. Grown up. Half of the BS you read and hear is for publicity. And what is really scary is that someone would hate another person they don't even know and I bet your ass you are in church every Sunday praising God. Maybe the hotel promised her something and didn't deliver or maybe this story isn't even true. But I'm sure that most people have had a situation where they weren't satisfied with something. And just because it's free doesn't mean you have to except it. Plus it probably wasn't really free. I'm sure it was more of a trade.

1:10 God and celebs are not the same thing. I hate to break it to you. When you can't make rent or financial aid at your college needs your money before dumping your classes, you should not in faith chant the name of Brit Brit Spears or AKeys for that matter.
Went to her concert this week....it was good, I will say that. After the show there were about 25-30 people max waiting for outside for pics and autographs. It was cold out there! Anyways, the little bitch didn't even come out at all and snuck out thru a side door onto her tour bus and just took off. With that many people out there she couldn't come out for 5 mins!?!?
The only person that actually took time with fans was her backup singer Whitney. She signed & took pics us outside. She's a really good singer so watch out for her in the future. I'm already a fan. She knows and appreciates those that pay the bills - THE FANS. Alicia should take note!!
