im an insider and i know the truth, so please take my word for it and dont come cursing me out on some dumb stuff. here it is.
keyshia coles last album pretty much failed compared to what they thought it would do. Keyshia cole changed her image and tried to get more structured and commercial and it backfired. It didnt do as good as her team thought it would and she was very upset.
I think her album failed simply cause the music wasnt as good and she made horrible choices for her singles. Keyshia cole thinks it was promotion and her family.
Keyshia cole is blaming them for puttin a cloud around her image, but that was okay so long as it boosted her rating and made her more famous. However when she would go on interviews like the one she did with “the view” (you can see on youtube) and majority of the questions were about here family and not her she felt dumb.
She felt like people cared more about her family than they did her and her music.
She cut them off after that. They felt betrayed by her cause they was like damn… we yo family. We put our lives and our business out there to help you be successful and promotion. However, now when you blow up you dont want us around.

keyshia didnt want to continue the show and that was okay with bet. They wanted to continue it with just frankie and neffe. Keyshia was mad. She didnt want that because she feared they would become more relevant than her and obsolete her music career.
Her family felt like.. “hey, we did this together. We are supposed to be a team. You were gold before you put the show out with us on it, now your a platnium artist…largly due to the promo of the show” they felt like keyshia went hollywood on them and didnt appreciate what they did for keyshia. (appearing on her show and putting their lives out their to help her career)

Keyshia cole does not support them financially and never really has. Neffe said she hates to ask keyshia for anything. “going to her is like applying for welfare” she said it on the show and they talked about it publically. Keyshia said it herself how neffe is afraid to come to her for things.
So this is not about them being leaches and wanting money. Lets get that straight.
This is about keyshia wanting to seperate herself from them to become more famous and universal. Basically…distancing herself from them and everything about them. Not because she doesnt like who they are, or they have done something to her.
But because she wants to make more money by appealing to a larger market. Get it?
So naturally her family feels betrayed. Please…try seeing it from “their” side! Neffe and frankie put all their busines out. The first show they were not given checks by bet to be on that show. Keyshia was! They were nothing. They agreed to do her show and put their loves out their.

so now that she has gotten to that point she wants to be international star and more universal so she cuts them off. Thats not right. I understand keyshia wanting success, but dont do that to your family that way and for that reason.
This is not about them bringing her down, leaching off her or anything. It’s jealousy that she isnt the only star in her family. (i know that hard to believe, but its true) she hates for anyone to ask her about frankie when shes promoting her album. But everywhere she goes, before they ask about the music,they ask about her fam. That made her feel inferior to them.
Also…keyshia cole is the type of woman who makes a man her god. *meaning* when she gets a man…she disowns everyone close to her. Doesnt call, doesnt come around. i really don't know what to make of this story. i could see her wanting to take her career to the next level by revamping her image, because white america wouldn't want to see her ghetto family. but at the same time, if keisha is so hard to deal with (as they claim), let her do her own thing. they make their money and she makes hers. i really see both sides of it.

Keisha Cole knows her family very well. They have not changed for the cameras or the money. They are who they are. It was Keisha's idea to showcase her life, "the way it is," to show her fans that she's just like them. Frankie, Neffie, that whole crew was screwed up from jump. She wanted her family together for whatever reason...she claims that it was to bring the family together. But now I wonder. She claims that she wants "peace." Keisha Cole's family is dysfunctional and until they catch a religious awakening, peace ain't happenin.' Keisha is just pissed that when she canceled the show on BET, Neffe and Frankie chose to continue on without her. The real story was supposed to be Keisha...but the REAL story is Neffe and Frankie. Everybody can relate to the both of them...everyone has a Neffe and Frankie in their family. Keisha wanted to end that chapter...prematurely...and the bus kept going. Without her profiting from it...not even as an executive producer. (The REAL INSIDE SCOOP IS RIGHT HERE, FOLKS! GOT THAT FROM A CREDIBLE SOURCE)

Whether Frankie is an addict or recovering addict, it's wrong to disown the woman that gave you life. For anyone to keep referring to this woman as a crackhead, is also wrong. Her last cd was an absolute disappointment but I felt like I had to support her because she was one of "us". If we all really think about it, Frankie and Neffe need Keyshia just as much she needs them. I didn't want to watch the show after Keyshia left. I enjoyed watching them try to work it out and bond. I did pick up on the pain and anger that Keyshia harbored towards her mother, for abandoning her, but I hoped and prayed that they could just work it out.

I hate to see family faling out over money and greed and possibly jealousy.....however I can see all sides of everyones opinion even whoever posted the random gossip at the very top. I think Keyshia Cole made a mistake trying to soften her image so soon, because in all honesty that soft image just isn't her. She is not a POP star, all day long she is an R&B Singer and there is nothing wrong with that. This third album was crap because I don't think she was being true to herself, I think she has been studying Mary J Blige a little too closely [going from hood chick to grown woman] I think Keyshia needs to be Keyshia Cole and if that is a ghetto ass R&B singer then so be it. if she has found happiness with her new husband and soon to be motherhood more power to her. As far as Frankie, Neffee, Elite and the crew, yeah her fam is ghetto, hood etc etc [but what black family isn't? let's keep it real....and yes I am Black and proud to be Black and a little ghetto myself and that is why i can say that...just about every black family has a Frankie or a Neffee it's true] and yes Frankie did become somewhat of a bigger star than Keyshia. I can see K. Cole becoming jealous of the spotlight being taken from her but all in all because all of them are always shouting out God, I hope they seek Him out during this time and find their way back to each other.
