Monique Shares Her Golden Globe With her TV Audience

A few days after her moving acceptance speech, Mo'Nique Golden Globes shared some love with her studio audience.
She brought the glittering award out and actually passed around, so that everyone who attended the taping of her television show on Tuesday got to touch it.
"I want you to hold this so you can feel it," Mo'Nique told her studio guests, as a way of encouraging them to all Pursue their own goals.

Buzz got the scoop from actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who was a guest on the show, Which should air in the next couple of weeks.

"I'm still a little overwhelmed from meeting her," a breathless Brown told us during an interview at her hotel Tuesday afternoon. "Her spirit is such that she brought (the award) out and passed it around. She's such a cheerleader of people. "

Brown has a lengthy list of small screen credits and has most recently landed a regular gig on the show "Community," starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase.

"This is the first set I've been on where I feel like I'm home," Brown said. "You feel like you can breathe."

She's had a few small roles in movies such as "Little Black Book" and "Dreamgirls," but has appeared in a huge number of commercials. As Mo'Nique introduced Brown, she read the lengthy list of Brown's commercial work.

"I'm proud of you," she told Brown in a private moment. Speaking of private, Brown's on Twitter and tries to be accessible, but says some fans can get a little carried away.

"I'm running into people who treat me like I should be giving them a kidney!" She said.

A Cleveland native, Brown grew up dreaming of stardom, but never was determined never to sacrifice her morals as a Christian or her identity.

"I'm from Ohio. We're corn-fed people. I eat. I got hips. And they let me on TV! "She said. "I Believed that if chubby girls are not supposed to be in show business, or black girls are not supposed to be in show business, I'd be at a law firm somewhere, answering phones. I'm blessed. "

(Along with shopping at Lenox, she was most excited about hitting Chick-Fil-A during time in Atlanta, saying she planned to Smuggle a stash of chicken sandwiches back to Los Angeles with her).

Actors she admires most include the hard-working and 80s sitcom Will Smith stars she grew up with, such as Betty White, Bea Arthur and Phylicia Rashad. She's a big fan of Sandra Bullock, both for her talent and altruism. (Bullock recently announced a gift of $ 1 million toward Haiti restoration efforts, but far more often gives anonymously).

Her advice for others? "Know who you are before you get into this business. Enter this business because you have a love for it, and give back. If your goal is to be famous, please do not eat. Those are the people who will do anything, wear anything, say anything. "
