Love cheat Tiger Woods is planning to make a dramatic return to golf within weeks.
The shamed star has told friends he will be back in action after the Easter holiday, raising the prospect of a return at the US Masters – golf’s first “Major” – on April 8.
Tiger’s decision is an amazing U-turn following his announcement last month that he was quitting golf “indefinitely”.
Friends believe his change of heart came after he accepted wife Elin, 30, is already building a new life without him – and will never agree to a reconciliation.
Woods faces a £300million divorce battle after he admitted cheating on Elin – who banned him from seeing their two children Sam, two, and Charlie, 10 months, over Christmas.
Tiger has told his closest pals that Elin is out to “crucify” him and he was deeply hurt by the Christmas Day snub.
His advisers are working on a comeback strategy in the hope the star can quickly rebuild his reputation and massive earning potential with success on the golf course.
Their plan includes a grovelling “Mea Culpa” speech in which Woods will admit to his affairs in front of TV cameras.
Meanwhile, he has been handing out lump sum bonuses to staff who have stayed loyal to him. And aides have even ¬suggested the golfer may continue his relationship with ¬nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel.
But Elin is so furious about his affairs that some claim she may subpoena his alleged mistresses, including Rachel, in divorce proceedings – forcing the women to reveal every intimate detail in court.
A close friend said: “Tiger realises it is over for him and Elin. He said, ‘She’s trying to crucify me’. His priorities have changed. He misses his kids, above all, so he wants to come to an arrangement where he knows he can see them.
“After that, he wants to get back to doing what he does best – winning golf -tournaments. He sees that as the best route to putting this scandal behind him.”
It had been widely expected that Tiger would take at least a full year off from golf to focus on saving his marriage.
But having realised Elin is determined to divorce, “Team Tiger” – the golfer’s circle of close pals and advisers – are in the final stages of preparing for his comeback.
Woods has also told close pals he still sees a future with Rachel Uchitel. The friend said: “When I asked him if he knew what would happen with the divorce, he said, ‘I’m on the fence – I really love Rachel and I think Elin is past talking’.”
Tiger – who has not been seen in public since his infamous November 27 car crash – has been spending most of his time trying to control the fall-out from a series of devastating ¬revelations that have seen him linked with up to 18 mistresses.

look people tiger is a walking corporation, all he has to do is win a tournament and he'll get all his money back, because im sure people on their second and third wife cant throw stone... the rent lights and water are still due and pay role must be met. you act like he was a god or something instead of a human man who cheated on his wife, just like the 1000's of other athletes.
