Corey Haim's Death Under Investigation

Cops suspect Corey Haim's death is linked to a massive prescription drug ring.

Corey Haim's death is now under investigation -- and has been linked to an "illegal and massive prescription drug ring."

State Attorney General Jerry Brown says his office is conducting a probe of Haim's death because an unauthorized prescription in his name was found during a probe of fraudulent drug-prescription pads in San Diego.

Brown said the prescription drug ring under investigation operates by ordering prescription drug pads from authorized vendors using stolen doctor identities -- i.e., identity fraud.

The pads are sold on the street to prescription drug addicts or dealers.

The A.G. notes that many of the doctors whose names are printed on the forms are unaware that his or her identity has been stolen.

Wow to the two comments above me. Way to miss the fucking point of the article. Which is the fact that prescriptions are becoming the highest cause of death in drug related overdoses. Big pharma-business is killing us. Even when taken PROPERLY these RX's are dangerous, not to mention how much easier it is to get ones hands on the pills. It's not just celebrities who are dying at rapid numbers from this shit. All so the pharmacies, doctors, & insurance agencies can keep making bank.

His life was a sad story and pussycatfun is right---he didn't want nobody's help. These pharmaceutical companies are the biggest dope dealers out there and I'm so sick of these damn drug commercials...with that tag line 'ask your doctor for more information'. Pretty soon there will be a drug for folks that scratch their ass too much. People got so many emotional/mental problems now and a pill for all of it. What happened to support and family & friends? The world is turning into addicts and they think it's ok cuz they're doctor prescribed it.
