Even though Conan O'Brien's new talk show pushed George Lopez' show to a later timeslot on TBS you won't hear George utter one bad word about it.
George Lopez's carefully staged delight at the arrival of Conan O'Brien to TBS is a total act, sources tell Page Six. In fact, Lopez was warned by network chiefs he would be axed if he didn't welcome O'Brien with open arms. "George was initially opposed to the idea of moving his time slot to make room for Conan on TBS," said a source. "He was told that if he wasn't supportive, his show would not be renewed. The Lopez camp is even more disheartened by the fact that Conan's contract states that if Lopez's show is canceled, then Conan will be able to develop a show for the midnight hour, as well . . . it's in Conan's best interest for Lopez's show to fail." A TBS rep said, "These claims are completely untrue. TBS has been unequivocal in its support of George Lopez. Conan O'Brien and his team also fully support George's show." Lopez's rep said, "This information is false and fabricated."

He's not funny, never has been funny, ain't gonna never BE funny. They're trying to ride the wave of Anti-Leno, but it's not going to work.
Leno is funny, hell George is even funny from time to time. Conan needs to sit down some where with his unfunny ass!
Folks just throwing $$ at this dude and I just don't get it. His ratings on NBC proved he can't hold an audience. Wonder who he will blame when this show goes to shit?

i don't know what yall are talking about, conan is a freaking GENIUS!! the fact that he held his slot on nbc at 12:30 for 17 years proves that more than just a few folks love his show.
I've always been a fan of Conan. To each their own I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if Leno or NBC put this rumor out. Conan pushing Lopez back only helps Lopez because he'll bring people who would never think to watch TBS for late night.
