Dina Lohan called the cops after a Carvel Ice Cream employee confiscated Lindsay Lohan's free ice cream card over card abuse allegations.
It's been a rocky road for Lindsay Lohan lately, and her mother's dust-up with ice cream company Carvel this week was just the icing on the cake.
Dina Lohan's trip to the Carvel store Wednesday to prepare for her son Cody's 14th birthday ended in an altercation involving the police, RadarOnline.com reported.
Lohan said she tried to use the special "Black" card Carvel had given the family, granting them free ice cream for 75 years, when a store employee confiscated the card and called the cops.
"He grabbed my arm and took my card and held it hostage and wouldn’t give me the cake!" Lohan said. "This guy was crazy!"
Lohan said four police cars showed up to investigate the incident, ultimately returning the card though the store still refused to give her the cake.
The dessert debacle escalated throughout the day Friday as a rep for Carvel released a statement to RadarOnline.com with the company's scoop on what really happened.
"As part of Carvel's 75th Anniversary celebration last year, we issued 75 Black Cards to celebrities. These cards were issued in the celebrity’s name and require the card holder to be present at the time of use," read the statement.
"Unfortunately, the Lohan family has been abusing the card ... At first, we graciously honored their requests ... After more than six months of numerous and large orders for ice cream, we finally had to cut off the card and take it back.
"Dina Lohan reacted badly and called the police to have her card returned. The police responded and did return the card to Dina with instructions not to use it again."
Lohan, who told RadarOnline.com that she will be back to Carvel "every day" to collect more free ice cream, complained that she was being victimized for her celebrity.
"It just shows how we get treated so much worse than regular people."

I dn't believe this lady is a celeb, I hve never heard of her, but at the same time why would u give someone a card for free ice cream for 75 yrs, then cry about them abusing it? I think that was stupid on Carvel's part. Now they want to take it away.
