When rapper Fat Joe listed his $2 million Florida mansion for sale recently, the 39-year-old denied speculation the sale was spurred by financial woes. Yet he does have money problems, according to public records that reveal a recent $71,611 default judgment in a lawsuit filed by his bank and more than $139,000 in delinquent state and federal taxes since 2008.Jacked from The Detroit News
Fat Joe, real name Joseph Cartagena, took out a $250,000 mortgage on the property in Plantation, Fla., through SunTrust Bank four years ago, according to this public record. The bank sued Cartagena on Jan. 20 in Broward County Circuit Court and won a default judgment against the rapper April 27 for $71,611, according to this Broward County Circuit Court record.
What else is owed:
• The state of New Jersey filed a $2,200 tax lien against Fat Joe and his Terror Squad Productions Inc. on March 18 in New Jersey State Superior Court.
• The IRS filed a $31,987 tax lien against Fat Joe on Feb. 2 with the Mercer County (N.J.) Clerk.
• The state of New Jersey filed a $105,000 tax lien against Fat Joe and Terror Squad on Aug. 14, 2008, in New Jersey State Superior Court.

This dude never really sold albums like that..i'm confused as to why he thought he could afford a place worth that much? Lean Back and Make it Rain wasn't that great.
I swear it, rappers with money! So "Lean Back" was only going to pay his bills for so long until everybody got sick of hearing that $hit! Lets face it, his songs have never been great, so I need for him to get a lucrative career to pay his damn bills.
Maybe now that the money is low, he can lose some weight.
Before reading all this I was really gonna write Who? because Fat Joe hasnt been on the music scene like that in years.....but I really feel bad for him now that I read soooo many people are coming for his head. Hopefully he can come above ground soon.
