JADA PINKETT SMITH has put aside her musical ambitions to help her daughter WILLOW launch her own career as a singer.
The Nutty Professor star has always dreamed of pursuing a career as a singer and even fronted rock band Wicked Wisdom in 2002.
But the actress admits she's put down the microphone to help her nine-year-old daughter record and release her debut album.
Pinkett Smith tells AmbassadorMag.com, "I have always had a love for music, always, always, and always. I probably started to pursue it a little late in life. But it was always a passion of mine. I had always been too afraid to venture into music, but I decided when I was about 30 to just go for it. I started a metal band called Wicked Wisdom. I toured and I loved it.
"But soon after, my kids' careers started taking off, so I sacrificed it. I am pleased to say my daughter, Willow, will be putting out an album soon and I look forward to enjoying music through her creations. So I am excited about that, and she's pretty awesome. She will be better at it then I ever could be anyway!"

Kudos for supporting your children, but the poor child looks ridiculous! It looks as though she is playing dress up out out an old ladies closet. I am all for being a individual and having your own personal style, but f^^K!

What ever happened to letting a kid be a KID??!! All to often celebrities (and non-celebrities) allow their children to venture off into adult land without reason. "To persure her career" is she serious?? Looking like Slash from Gun & Roses? SHE's NINE!!! Childhood last only about 14 years these days so what's the rush? Skipping over childhood to pursue a career, usually never works out well. Just look at all the celebrities whose lives were cut short or just plain ole fucked up to the core because of these early "careers"! Sheesh....

I think her children are beautiful! Maybe she should discourage starting ANY career at the ages that her children are but it's her and Will's call. But believe it's gonna be extra work keeping them straight!
I don't know why people keep saying let a kid be a kid and expressing themselves. Trust me.... this look is from a professional stylist tryna make a kid look edgy. This is NOT a normal 9 year old's choice in clothing. Go back and take a look @ all of their red carpet type photo shoots. This is some planned BS so their daughter can "stand out". I'm not buying that this is ALL Willow. This shxt was selected. It's ugly as FUG and "out there", but this is on purpose - To make a statement and have EVERYBODY talking bout how "special" and eccentric she is at such an early age. She's just GENIOUS!! The family IS creepy!!! jada looks like a man and Will got 'outed' by that hollywood madame that said he paid for a male prostitute through her brothel. no wonder jada's attractive to him. I understand you have to stand out when you are trying to be famous. But having your child doing so, by looking like a teenaged jackass isn't the way to go. Their name should carry them, their talent the rest.
And I'm sorry, but every time I look at their son I believe those, who say, folks are born gay.

Jada did get work done to her cheeks. It's so obvious yet she wants to tell black women to 'love themselves' and 'accept how they look' BISH PLEASE!!!!! She was very pretty in the 90s but always came off butch, just like Alicia Sleaze.
So I guess because you have family money, an education is not important. These kids may have careers, but poor things will be dumb as rocks...
