The eldest daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening is living as a young man after changing her name.
Kathlyn Beatty, 18, is now known as Stephen Ira and is said to be planning a sex-change operation.
According to reports in the U.S., Hollywood veteran Beatty, 73, is 'crushed' by his child's determination to change her gender.
Meanwhile Miss Bening, 52, who starred in American Beauty, is trying to support her daughter as best she can, despite finding the situation heartbreaking.
The National Enquirer reported that the teenager was currently attending college dressed as a man.

i'm flexible on the whole transexual topic-it seems so extreme to me that i cannot imagine anyone choosing these surgeries, unless they really felt that their life depended on it BUT i also wonder if our society was more accepting of different kinds of gender and sexuality, if these drastic measures i.e. removing genitals/breasts etc. would be sought out. it really seems that these people are desperate.

i kind of get what 4:35 is saying, i don't know about the wholde heaven bit but,white folks(as a race-not individaully) seems to be the only race to systematically tear down and kill other cultures and races, embrace all types of sexual deviant behavior with pseudo science, if they can find a scientific explanation for beastiality then that would be readily accepted also, the list goes on.... but seriouly, this is a sad situation to go to such extremes. i remember a 20/20 special about a woman who changed into a man and lived as a man for twenty years then decided to get another operation twenty years later to turn back to the woman he original was. what the hell is wrong with mankind's brain?

I'm with you on this. I may not understand transgendered or gays but I would much rather someone be true to themselves than live a lie and force others to live in their lie. We bash gays so much and then wonder why there are so many DL guys.

I'll never understand why people except someone changing their gender but if they hated the race they were born and wanted to be a different color people would think they were crazy and tell them to embrace their color and accept it. To me it's the same thing because the identity we all possess is based on our color and gender.
