Police reports reveal Paris Hilton told arresting officers the Chanel purse she was carrying the night she arrested for possession of cocaine was 'too cheap' to belong to her.
Paris Hilton told police who quizzed her over cocaine it could not be hers because the bag it was in was too cheap.
The celebrity heiress faces up to four years in jail if convicted after police filed court papers against her yesterday for possession.
Officers said a "baggy" of cocaine fell out of her handbag after she and boyfriend Cy Waits were stopped while driving in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Hilton, 29, is accused of being in "possession of a controlled substance".
She had told police the bag or purse containing the drug was not expensive enough to be hers and claimed a friend had lent it to her.
If convicted she could get anything from probation to four years in prison and a fine of £3,233. Waits, 34, who was behind the wheel of the car, was booked on charges of driving under the influence.
Case paperwork reports Hilton said: "The purse was not hers. She borrowed it."
