Taylor Swift dedicates her MTV performance to Kanye West.
Everyone wondered if Taylor Swift and Kanye West would take the stage together at Sunday night's Video Music Awards show. The answer: No, they didn't.
Both performed. Swift appeared first, singing a new song that started by showing a clip of Kanye's famous moment from last year's show as he interrupted her acceptance speech.
West wasn't named in the song's lyrics, but it was aimed at him, as she sang: "Some things you can't speak of," she sang, "but tonight you live it all again."
"You have new Septembers," she sang. "Everyone one of us has messed up, too." And, "It's all right, just wait and see. Your string of lights is still bright to me. You're still an innocent."
Kanye closed the show with his new song, Runaway, which included the lyrics: "Let's have a toast for the scumbags. Let's have a toast for the jerk---s. Baby, I got a plan. Run away fast as you can."
Before the ceremony, West Tweeted his apologies to Swift. "I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it," the rapper Tweeted. "If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."

I do not think he should have to pay forever but she has the right to be a little upset about her shine being rained on like that.

Ummm....3:08pm, he has NOT apologized profusely. He posted on his Twitter a week ago, I'm sorry Taylor. He has gone on interviews claiming he wants to speak to her to apologize, yet never once has he or his reps contacted her. His 'apology' was on Twitter. And I don't think it matters that she's a 'little white girl'. The fact of the matter is, as an artist, that is a huge moment. It was her FIRST huge moment, and Kanye STOLE that moment from her with one of his 'boo hoo it didn't go the way I wanted to' moments. I've seen several interviews with her since the incident and she has remained quiet about her true feelings about him, never talking shizz about him, just saying he hasn't reached out to her and she was horrified. So, since Kanye ruined her original moment, she had to use last night as her moment. Good for her. I think it's squashed now. On her part. I'm sure Coocoo for Coco puffs Kanye will somehow use this to his advantage. What a loser. He was a loser to me long before this, but now.....he's a bigger one. I don't care for Taylor Swift or her music, but Kanye is a damn fool and should possibly seek counseling to help him deal with his issues. This isn't the first time he's done stupid shit.
