Party hearty Lindsay Lohan is crying poverty.
The supposedly shaky state of Lohan's finances was revealed Friday in a probation report after a Beverly Hills judge ordered the drug-addled actress to go back into rehab - but spared her a stint in jail.
"She indicates she can not afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work," the probation officer wrote. "The defendant states her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product."
Lohan is scheduled to start shooting a movie about doomed porn star Linda Lovelace next month called "Inferno." Under Judge Elden Fox's ruling, Lohan won't be allowed out of the Betty Ford Center until after the New Year - so she can't make any money.
We're not replacing her with another person," "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder told the Daily News, who said he hoped to start production shortly after her release.
"She's good and productive and thinking about life beyond [rehab]," he said. "I think she feels a little cooped up there, but she's okay."
There have been reports that the high-living "Mean Girls" actress was having money troubles, but this is the first time Lohan has said she was strapped for cash.
A source in Lohan's camp insisted on Friday that she had enough dough to pay for the three-month rehab stint.
Still, in an ominous sign for Lohan's bottom line, the popular New York-based designer apparel liquidation site Gilt.com had an online sample sale this week offering 60% off Lohan's 6126 clothing line.
A once-promising 24-year-old actress, she has become better known for her drug problems and dysfunctional family. Lohan is on probation for a 2007 misdemeanor conviction on back-to-back DUIs.
Last month, she flunked a drug test and spent 14 hours in the pokey before she was bailed out and sent to Betty Ford.
Over the summer, Lohan spent 14 days in jail for missing alcohol education classes and then served 23 days of a 90-day inpatient rehab sentence.
So Lohan was facing an angry prosecutor - who wanted to send her to jail for 180 days for violating her probation twice - and a no-nonsense judge when she arrived at the Beverly Hills courthouse.
Instead, Lohan got a lecture from Fox about getting "serious" about sobriety and was ordered to go back to Betty Ford - her fifth stint in rehab - and stay there until Jan. 3.
"You're staying there past the New Year, there's a reason for that," the judge said, as scattered laughter erupted in the courtroom. Fox quickly cut off the tittering and made sure Lohan got his message.
"You are an addict," the judge told Lohan. "I hope you understand that."
Fox said he expected to see Lohan back in court "if you make it to Feb. 25," the date of her next scheduled appearance.

Exactly. She has had to many chances period. Hell T.I. just admitted he has a drug problem and they put his ass behind bars.
Lyndsay's mom is a Kardashian-like pimp I almost feel sorry for Lyndsay because from the moment she landed that first movie deal she was doomed - her parents influence on her has been nothing but negative - what did we expect... Lyndsay was under 21 going clubbing - who do you blame the clubs the parents a society that thinks its cool... I don't know but Lyndsay is one of many - have you seen the reality shows - we're breeding mini drug addicts and useless whores... so sad...

@5:10 Its different for T.I. He is a convicted felon. He is not allowed to posses firearms. Not only did he posses them, he had automatic with silencers...and enough to supply a small army. His lucky azz got 1 year, when any regular joe schmo wouldve gotten 15 years. Not only did he ONLY get one year of prison, he got out early and was allowed to go to a 1/2 way house. So all he had to do was count his blessings and keep his nose clean. Is thick skulled azz got caught with weed and ecstacy out in public. So he deserves to go back...not for using drugs, but being so disrespectful to the HUGE 2nd chance he got. Lohan wont get help in jail...u can get drugs in jail just as easily, and im sure there will be inmates willing to get her some. She needs to hit rock bottom or will need to WANT to get clean. Unfortunately, both her parents are douchebags, so its not like an intervention is going to work.
