Diandra Douglas Won't Get Paid

Michael Douglas' ex-wife Diandra tried to sue him for a share of the profits for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps but it didn't work out.
There'll be no "Wall Street" bonus for Michael Douglas' ex-wife.

A Manhattan judge has tossed a bid by the Oscar-winning actor's former spouse to pocket a 50% cut from this year's sequel to the 1987 smash "Wall Street."

Diandra Douglas, whose divorce from the "Fatal Attraction" star was finalized in 2000, wanted half of the millions he made reprising the role of Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps."

But Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper dismissed the case, and said it has no place in a New York court.

The couple divorced in California, where Diandra Douglas now is free to refile her lawsuit.

Douglas, who was married to the star for 23 years, had contended that a 1998 deal entitled her to earnings from any sequel to the movie in which her husband's Gekko character famously said, "Greed is good."

A lawyer for Michael Douglas had previously said his ex-wife had earned more than $6.3 million in royalties and residuals from his post-divorce film projects. Lawyers for both parties did not return calls.

Um folks need to know why she sued before they comment and sound like complete dumb asses. In their divorce agreement she was awarded royalties and monies from any sequals he made to movies he did during their marriage. Read the report she just filed in the wrong place since their divorce took place in CA she needs to file their and she will get her money. She's not greedy she's just getting what she's owed. He made the agreement with her so he need's to live up it.

Thanks for clearing that up 10:17, however the man is dying of cancer...I am sorry this is just very tacky on her part. The man has a new family and has moved on. Any monies made will have to support his family if he dies...this is really just cruel and she should just find a life move the hell on...even if the royalty crap is true. She would have a pot to sh*t in if it wasn't for married to him in the first
her being married to him in the first place.--ThatBKChick
