Ted Turner fears his children may have to pay for his funeral.
Media mogul and onetime JANE FONDA hubby TED TURNER who put the "24" in cable news says he's running out of cash and may be so broke he couldn't even pay for his own funeral.Jacked from The National Enquirer
The Hollywood Reporter says the once mighty Turner admits he's on the cusp of poverty.
"I'm one of the few examples of a very wealthy person that's given himself to the edge of poverty," he said on MSNBC.
Turner, who once pledged $1 billion to the United Nations, claims he's "happy" to give money away to most anyone who visits his office.
Turner did note that he has "a few million left."
But now he fears he may have left his family with some unfinished funeral expenses.
"I don't want to leave my family with an unpaid funeral bill. I'm trying to save a little bit of money to at least cover my expenses."
Maybe if Ted needs to he can borrow some bread from ex- Jane who's rekindled her DVD fitness empire.

I love how he says "I only have a few millions left" - WTF that's way more than most people have so I really don't feel bad for him at all. Maybe if he would have managed his money better he would still have most of it. Oprah gives away millions in charity each year but she still has stacks upon stacks of millions in the bank so...

He never should have "sold out" to Time Warner. Ted was greedy -- he wanted more money when he was already sitting on a pot of gold (CNN, TNT, TCM, The Atlanta Braves, and so much more), but it wasn't enough. Pity.

"a couple million left" based on his lifestyle, yeah he's reaching poverty. I'm really getting sick hearing about people who have ALOT money not managing it WISELY. Yes, you should give what you can but know that you can top that and more within the fiscal year. That's how the rich stay rich and still able to give.
But if ol' Ted's giving away stacks I need to plan a day trip to his damn office.

It's real, but it's exaggerated. Ted isn't broke compared to anyone making less than 500K a year, but he's broke compared to what he once had. And that's a damn shame.
Ted sold "Turner Broadcasting Systems" to Time Warner -- and this included TBS (though he did this under the guise of a merger). Ted invested in stocks and the stock market crashed. Ted hasn't recovered from the crash, yet he still continues to give away money. This info is in the public domain--just do a search.

I like Ted because (1) he hired black people in front *and* behind the cameras, (2) he treated black employees well, and (3) what you see is what you get--there's no pretense with Ted (hence the yellow teeth) you take him as he is or you don't take him at all.
Don't get it twisted, I don't think Ted did anything special, he just did what was right. White people could learn a lot from Ted--like how to work hard and be nice to people, and how to act with dignity when you're down and out.

a slice of apple pie should be hot with a scoop of vanilla icecream so that the hottness(pie) and coldness(vanilla iceream) melts in your mouth at the same creating a pleasurable, sensuous taste..but nah pepsi people wouldn't know nothing about that cause pepsiSTANS suck. the end.

Those of you who are cynical about my being rich and then broke need to learn some compassion. I've given much to so many,and I've asked for nothing in return. All I ask is that you treat my circumstance as you would any family member or friend who has made bad decisions.
