John Travolta Abandons Wife and New Baby

John Travolta ditches wife and baby for a few alone days with "the boys".

In a devastating blow to his marriage, JOHN TRAVOLTA has broken his wife's heart - leaving her and spending the night in a hotel.

Less than a month after the arrival of the couple's miracle baby Benjamin, the Hairspray star left wife Kelly Preston and took off with three buddies, reveal insiders.

"Kelly's heartsick. While she's at home caring for their newborn, John flew off to the ski slopes to party with his pals!" a family friend told The ENQUIRER.

Shockingly, the boys-only vacation comes shortly after his friend Carrie Fisher publicly announced that John should admit he's gay.

And, as The ENQUIRER recently revealed, his 48-year-old wife - who gave birth to adorable Benjamin on Nov. 23 - has been begging him to tell her the truth about his sexuality.

"Kelly hoped Benjamin's birth would get the marriage back on track," confided the friend. "But John again left her and the children to be with his buddies. And that's becoming harder for Kelly to accept.

"Just before he left her and the baby for his three-day party in the mountains of Vermont, she stopped him and told him she couldn't stand him leaving just after she brought home their newborn.

"She said she felt abandoned with him running off right before Christmas.

"John's temper flared, and he insisted that the trip was something he needed to do.

"Kelly told him she was tired of him always leaving, and he angrily told her, 'That's the way it is' and left in a huff."

According to the friend, John ran off on Kelly just as the family was making plans for its Christmas celebration on their island estate in Islesboro, Maine.

The Pulp Fiction star, 56, and his male pals were guests at the luxurious Stowe Mountain Lodge, an upscale ski resort. Kelly was not part of the trip.

On Dec. 19, Travolta dined at the resort's Solstice restaurant with two men.

"They were very discreet and sat at a corner table behind a screen," an eyewitness told The ENQUIRER. "You could tell they didn't want to be seen."

The following day, Travolta was spotted skiing, and later that night, with a black ball cap pulled low on his face, he enjoyed drinks at the bar with two guy friends.

"Stowe Mountain Lodge is an incredibly peaceful, private place to escape for meetings or romantic getaways," said the observer.

"The staff is very discreet. If you want to hide out, it's just the place to do it."

The relaxed actor and his male buddies spent most of Dec. 21 "getting the works" at the resort's luxury spa, according to sources.
