Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel has come under scrutiny for whitening his skin.

The well loved Jamaican dancehall artist recently did a lengthy interview where he revealed that he is proud to be bleaching his skin like former baseball player Sammy Sosa.
During an interview with a local TV network Kartel explained that he decided to lightened his skin in order to change his image and shocked his fans by adding that if white people can tan, black people should have the right to change their skin tone.
Kartel said in the interview:
“This is my new image.You can expect the unexpected. I feel comfortable with black people lightening their skin. They want a different look. It’s tantamount to white people getting a sun tan.”

Hes a fucking idiot! Tanning is not healthy and to much of it can lead to skin cancer. And I'm no doctor but bleaching your skin does not sound healthy either. Has anyone done extensive research about the long term effects of skin bleaching? If years down the line he ends up with skin cancer or some other type of disease or skin illness that'll be his own fault and no one is going to have any type of sympathy.
MJ did not lie about what happened to his skin. The autopsy is proof of that. As for Beystankin, I don't know. But, this guy looks horrible. He does in fact look ill so I will be careful in my criticism of him. But, the bleaching is awful. He and Sammy Sosa ought to be ashamed of themselves. This is getting ridiculous. Look at his lips.
