A Rapper in Women's Clothing

Kanye West wore women's ready to wear for his Coachella set.
We know that Kanye West is a keen follower of fashion, and he ain't afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve — or in this case, back. Known for name dropping his favourite designers in his songs, Kanye is backing up his love for Celine's Phoebe Philo. He wore a graphic print button down from her S/S 2011 collection at his recent Coachella performance. Obviously it doesn't faze him that the shirt was designed for women, rocking the statement piece with gold chains and jeans. What do you think of Kanye's gender-bender preference in designer threads?

to be honest, we all know gayfish is one foot in and one foot out the closet or just confused but the attire doesn't look women's ready made to me. it looks like she's the one wearing the man clothing. it ain't Kanye's fault if his style is modeled on women when it's made to fit a dude. like how many women unless dikes do you know that would wear that outfit?

I have to admit the shirt is very UNISEX - so either way, a man can pull it.

Michael Jackson once wore a Givenchy jacket from the Fall 2007 collection that was modeled by a woman on the runway. Now Kanye has done it and I'm sure others have too. Fashion is fashion and people like what they like.

ARTISTS DON'T THINK THE SAME AS REGULAR PEOPLE. YOU ARE CONFINED WITHIN THE LITTLE LINES THE SYSTEM HAS DRAWN FOR YOU...IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN THEM...FINE......BUT PLEASE STOP TRYING TO FIGURE US OUT.

women's fashion derives from men's wear; check its history. and philo uses a masculine aesthetic in her designs quite frequently for women. by the time fashion trickles down to the vestiges where the bottom consumers receives it... the industry is well on to the next three times over. if he was in a skirt then maybe some side-eye, but no foolishness here. to the individuals with negative viewpoints, broaden your limits of the world beyond the community which you identify.
