Khloe played it cool when Lamar's drug addicted father showed up unannounced to her book signing.
Lamar Odom has exposed his dark childhood, as the son of a heroin addict.Jacked from Radar Online
The two-time Los Angeles Lakers championship star is set to make the emotional revelation in E!'s latest Kardashian sister spinoff, Khloe & Lamar.
"My father's a heroin addict," Odom said about his father, Joe, who makes a surprise cameo in the debut episode, when he turns up unannounced at wife Khloe's book signing.
"It's hard for me to speak upon it and get it through to Khloe because she grew up so different."
Odom said his relationship with his dad was now "complicated," as a result.
"Different from a normal father-son relationship," he admitted.
"I was six when my parents split up; I had my mother around until I was 12 (she passed away of colon cancer)... and after that my father wasn't around.
"I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn't supposed to see."
Faced with being abandon, Odom turned to his grandmother Mildred and the pair lived together in a rough neighborhood of Queens, NY.
Still, Odom said: "My father is definitely someone I'd do something for."

I'm not a huge fan of the Kardashians. I'll admit that right off the top. BUT..this clip was creepy as hell to me. Why would he just show up at her book signing and then ask for stuff? Clearly he is still a junkie. I think its great that his son is still trying to do the right thing by taking care of him. I hope Khloe listens to her husband and just backs off of this one.You never know what a junkie will do when pushed. Nice one minute and a nutbag the next.
I do like Khloe but I hope this experience lets her know that all races and cultures are different. The K's can't just play like you're black, you have to really understand the black man. She may be able to handle it if she really loves Lamar. I think, as a white woman, she will deal and handle whatever to keep Lamar.
All the K's need to know that all black people are not rich, i.e. Reggie Bush, the twins, Lauren London, etc. People like Lamar, Lil Wayne, hell even Monica have been through something.
I'm sorry, I'm not a person who lets strangers into my personal business first off, so I wouldn't be doing a reality show anyway. Second, I don't like Lamar Odom, the lakers, or any member of the Kardashian family. However, I must tip my cap to Odom because if my pops wasn't there for me when I needed him, junkie or not, I wouldn't have even an old coat, let alone a heart for the guy. Sorry, I'm just not Mr. Forgive N. Forget. I'm Sir I. Hold-Grudges.

Your statement is ignorant and makes no sense. Drug addiction does not discriminate! Are you really stating that only black families have issues with drug-addicted relatives? You have to be kidding me. I would venture to say that every family, black, white, hispanic, asian, whatever, has at least one person who has struggled with drugs at one point or another. If you think this is only a black problem, please turn to A&E. The Intervention episodes tells the whole story. Turn to Judge Mathis...has white crack, heroin, and meth addicts on there daily. Or just turn on the evening news and observe the absurdity of Charlie Sheen. He's clearly a crack addict but everyone keeps referring to him as a drinker. gthoh...
The difference between a white addict and a black addict is that the white addict will receive more sympathy. That's it. Nothing else. If I was Khole I would listen to Lamar and let it go...
Ok so he's a heroin addict...has ANYONE really looked at him?? THE WORDS FULL BLOWN AIDS COME TO MY MIND...IVE KNOWN PEOPLE IN THE SAME PREDICAMENT..
