The couple met on Vh1 series The Surreal Life in 2005 and subsequently landed their own show, My Fair Brady, which documented their relationship.
They televised their 2006 nuptials and the first months of marriage, and the union hit headlines again in 2007 when Curry revealed they were seeking couples' counselling.
Knight and Curry have now parted ways, releasing a statement about their split on Sunday (29May11), exactly five years after their wedding.
The couple's manager Phil Viardo tells Hollyscoop.com, "Actor Christopher Knight and his wife, model and television star Adrianne Curry have announced today on their five-year wedding anniversary that they are separating.
"After starting a relationship with what seemed to be irreconcilable differences, the couple has reached a period where those differences are no longer appreciated. The decision was mutually reached after it became clear to both that some perspective was needed in order to assess their unique union. Not unlike all marriages, work must be put in.
"Obvious to both Knight and Curry was that their marriage would require more effort than a garden-variety relationship. They are taking time to see if they want to continue to put in that extraordinary effort. The couple has mutually determined that they are at a place where moving forward will require a step back. They still love one another but need some distance to consider their future.
"Both Knight and Curry decided to release this joint announcement today in order to pre-empt any potential rumours and gossip and ask that their fans and the media respect their privacy during this delicate period."

I knew this was going to happen, I use to watch their show and she had to give so much of herself just to be with him. It was sad, he was just too much, it was like watching a dad with his daughter who tries too hard to please him for praise.
They're both publicity whores. Adrianne only wanted to marry him because she liked the attention, and that guy seemed as if just liked her on his d*ck. Does anyone else find it strange that they announced their separation on their 5th anniversary? They're both jokes.
I remember that first season of Top Model, she won because Tyra was so impressed with her because she continued to work without complaining when she caught the flu.
Then she became an instant hasbeen.
