Actor Anthony Michael Hall was arrested over the weekend for threatening a neighbor and damaging property.
Brat Pack actor Anthony Michael Hall, a star of seminal '80s flicks "Sixteen Candles" and "The Breakfast Club," was cuffed and taken to jail Monday night after allegedly threatening a neighbor, police said.Jacked from NY Daily News
"It was a citizen's arrest related to a neighbor dispute. We didn't witness any crime," a Los Angeles Police Department source told the Daily News. "The neighbor wanted him placed under arrest and is solely responsible for the prosecution and turning in witness statements."
The neighbor told police Hall tore up plants in a common area of their condominium complex, according to the Los Angeles Times.
When the neighbor asked him what he was doing, Hall reportedly responded with an obscenity and threatened to "beat him to a pulp."
The actor, who fought against his Hollywood geek persona and starred in the 2002 sci-fi TV series "The Dead Zone," reportedly knocked on his neighbor's door a short time later and invited him to come outside and fight.
The unidentified man slammed the door and called police, the Times reported.
Hall, 43, was released from jail early Tuesday and did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment.
