Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Adopt a Puppy

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez took their relationship to the next level by adopting a puppy together.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have revealed that they've adopted a puppy over the weekend that they've named Baylor.

It is unknown if the husky mix will carry the last name Gomez-Bieber, but for now the little pup is sure to be the most famous dog to wag its tail in the celebrity world.

According to People magazine, the chart topping couple adopted the dog at the D'Arcy Animal Rescue Centre in Winnipeg, Canada, where Bieber is currently accompanying his Disney star girlfriend on her tour.

"They spent a lot of time with the puppies," D'Arcy Johnston, the rescue's chief executive officer, told the magazine. "I was told that [Gomez] was missing the dogs she has at home."

"I wasn't expecting her to adopt a dog while she was on tour and has a busy schedule. Baylor probably would have had a bad life or a very short life, but he got rescued and brought to our shelter and is now going to live a very good life," Johnston added.

Amidst ongoing break-up rumors, Bieber and Gomez seem to be going strong though, with the teen heartthrob recently revealing that he wants to settle down and have children before his mid-twenties. Adopting a puppy with your girlfriend sure is a good start on the road to responsibility.

Gomez reportedly owns five rescued dogs at home and is an outspoken animal lover. Let's just hope the 10-week-old puppy won't suffer from any of the drama that usually unfolds with his celebrity parents should a high-profile break-up occur.
