Nicki Minaj Duets With Her Biggest Fan

After 8 year old Sophia Grace singing Nicki Minaj's Super Base went viral, the budding super star was invited on the Ellen DeGeneres show and surprised with an appearance by her idol Nicki Minaj. After Ellen DeGeneres suggests a duet, Sophia more than holds her own while rapping along with Nicki and thoroughly amuses the rapper.
“Super Bass” has been covered by A-list musicians like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, but one 8-year-old has gained the most attention.

Sophia Grace Brownlee is the latest Internet sensation. The 8-year-old and her cousin became an instant hit after a YouTube video of Sophia rapping a near perfect version of Nicki Minaj’s hit “Super Bass” went viral.

Ellen DeGeneres invited Sophia Grace and her cousin on her talk show, where they were in for a big surprise. After announcing the American Music Awards nominations, Minaj stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to surprise the girls, give them advice, and of course, sing “Super Bass” together.

Sophia was no doubt excited to meet the rapper letting out a loud scream when she came from behind Ellen’s stage. Minaj embraced in a big hug with the little girl before offering her admiration towards her, and offering her the best advice she could give.

"Within five seconds of seeing this video I was calling everyone I knew, and I was also receiving a billion emails. Everyone was like, 'you have to see this little girl,'" Minaj told Ellen DeGeneres.” She blew me away.”

Minaj, 26, notices, “we’re watching a journey that’s about to be amazing” but she wants the girls to get an education first.

“You are incredible,” she said. “I just want you to stay in school, the both of you. Music is beautiful, but I want you to stay in school. Put your books first, and [put] singing second,” she told them before participating in a duet of the song.

What type of parent would allow a child, especially a child that young, to listen to the garbage that is Nicki Minaj? Those little girls need to be listening to Barney and shit, not some silicone stuffed whore.

This was cute and all BUT...why are these kids listening to her crap? Teach them how to read, write, sing the Abc's..not Nicki Minaj. This is what's wrong with parents today.

The clean version is totally different than what we hear on the radio or on her actual cd. I think it's cute how she made those little girls so happy. Props to Nikki for being able to motivate those girls to want to stay in school and be there best. People don't be so negative...

That was AMAZING!!!

Those parents are doing an excellent job with their daughter... Look at her confidence and that little girls VOICE was magnificent... No different than Venus and Serena's day pushing them to play tennis.. But this seems totally natural too me.
