Rihanna had to have an emergency bikini wax as soon as she landed in Ireland. Too bad it was at at 2am.

BLOKES from Belfast who were too embarrassed to pursue a career in beauty therapy will be weeping into their beer for a long time.

They missed out on a job of a lifetime this week — Rihanna needed an emergency bikini wax in the early hours.

In a desperate bid to tidy herself up for a video shoot, she had her assistants call four local beauticians early on Monday but none could be persuaded to get out of bed.

Thankfully, one finally answered Rihanna's plea and managed to get to her hotel at 2am.

A source said: "Rihanna arrived at her hotel very late and the first thing she wanted was a bikini wax.

"The video shoot was scheduled for the following morning so she didn't have much time.

"Her assistants got on the case quickly and called some beauticians after finding a directory on the web.

"It was relief all round when they finally managed to find someone."

That'll teach Rihanna to forget her Bic.

Moody farmer Alan Graham, who chucked the singer off his land when she stripped while filming the vid, might have gone a bit easier on her if he knew how much effort she'd put into her appearance.

Rihanna has been welcomed by pretty much everyone else in Northern Ireland.

The fast-food restaurants have benefited from a roaring trade thanks to some mammoth orders.

Rihanna and her entourage have been getting loads of McDonald's and KFC sent to the video shoots. Her team also placed a £700 order at Nando's to be delivered to her hotel.

Rihanna has yet to sample any of the area's finest pubs during her stay. The Bajan likes a drink so it would be interesting to see how she got on with Guinness.
