Lindsay Lohan Sentence to 30 Days in Jail

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for probation violations but she'll probably serve less than 24 hours.
Mr. DeMille, she’s ready for her lock-up.

Tinseltown train wreck Lindsay Lohan is headed to jail for the fourth time in as many years — although the fallen starlet may not serve more than 24 hours of her latest 30-day term.

The “Machete” star, wearing a prim polka dot dress and an air of remorse, was ordered Wednesday to surrender at the Los Angeles County jail by Nov. 9 on her latest probation violation.

While an irate Judge Stephanie Sautner held an additional 270-day term over LiLo’s head, the actress — who’s also made five trips to rehab — is likely to do very little time, due to prison overcrowding.

“She could be booked in and out on the same day,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.

But Sautner warned Lohan that the 270-day term was non-negotiable if she failed to meet her required community service, psychotherapy and court appearances.A single misstep will land her behind bars again.

“This is really called putting the keys to the jail in the defendant’s hands,” Sautner said.
Lohan, 25, appeared in court pairing her navy-and-white dress with designer stilettos and wearing her signature blonde locks tied back in a loose bun.

She quickly admitted skipping community service work and psychiatric appointments so she could jet to New York, Milan and Paris. That allowed her to bypass a lengthy hearing and move straight to sentencing.

Asked if she understood the terms of her new sentence, Lohan nodded. “Yes, your honor,” she replied. All of her remaining community service hours were transferred to the county morgue, the judge said.

Sautner said she tried to transfer some of the hours to a homeless shelter, but the program turned Lohan down. The actress could still finish her legal commitments by March 29.

“And in the event that she finished before?” asked Lohan's lawyer Shawn Holley.

“Wouldn’t that be nice,” replied the beleaguered jurist. “I would be the happiest judge in town if she finished early.”

Lohan served 84 minutes at the county women’s jail in 2007, two weeks in July 2010 and 14 hours in Sept. 2010 — all related to her 2007 back-to-back DUIs.

She needed to be put in jail this time; as evidenced, letting her skate with warnings and threats fell on deaf ears. Now the next step is to make her serve her ENTIRE sentence and she should get the idea.
