Kris Jenner is defending her daughter's quickie marriage and divorce insisting Kim didn't make a dime off it.
Mom knows best, but Kris Jenner's also aware that Kim Kardashian is an adult capable of making her own decisions!
In an interview with Johnjay and Rich on Tuesday, Jenner, 55, said it was "of course" news to her when Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on Monday after 72 days of marriage.
"Kim had to make a very difficult decision," Jenner told Johnjay and Rich. "But she needed to do that on her own. You know, she's not 5 years old. She's a 30-year-old woman who definitely needs my support right now." (Kardashian actually turned 31 on Oct. 21.) "[But] whatever her decision was at the time, I'm just here to support her as her mom and make sure she's okay today," Jenner said.
"[Kim's] not the first person in the world to get a divorce or have something like this happen to, and she won't be the last," the Kardashian matriarch added. "She just happens to be a very public person with a couple of television shows on the air so it makes it bigger than life."
One rumor Jenner would like to dispel is that her daughter "made millions" off of her two-part wedding special, Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, that premiered on E! earlier this month.
"She didn't make a dime off of this wedding," Jenner said. "She actually spent millions of dollars on this wedding, so it's not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after."

This is what happens when you're 30 and don't take control over your life, letting your mother dictate your decisions. Kim is an infant, she should have married or waited to marry the man she loves and who loves her with the same depth. i told ya'll "indifference" is the worst. Chris was too indifferent, he cared a little too less about the sex tape, he seemed a little to cool about all of this. any man who loves you and any man worth his weight would have shown some anger, fustration, jealousy, while that may not be a sign of love, it at least shows he cares about you enough to angry, jealous, and fustration. but no, not Chris. Kim's mother is a manipulative hag and if Kim is dumb enough to let her mom still control her life, especially her love life at this age, then Kim is a hopeless cause. 2 divorces @ 30yrs old. SMH.

She made money, but not as much as people think. Ryan Seacrest made more money from the wedding than she did. They get a thin slice of the pie. There are several people ahead of them that get their cut first. All the stories they plant in the media about how rich they are is fake. Being rich is part of their "image". Why aren't they on any forbes lists?
First of all if they want us to believe that Kim did not make a dime off of the E! two part special, then they better show us the receipts! Matter of fact show me the marriage certificate, because i dont even believe that they ever were married. I mean come on! on the show she called herself Elizabeth Taylor! She wouldn't take his last name and when "he bought" her the bracelet on the wedding day, it had the initials of "KK" not "KH". WTF? Why are we surprised again?
I think Kris H. was drinking the koolaid and then he started feeling himself and realizing that he had leverage over her by acting discontented. So she pulled the plug before he could so she could come out like the victim. Only problem is it's not working out like she planned.

I almost choked on the title. its been made perfectly clear through several news sources that with all the endorsement deals that went on leading upto, during and after the wedding, that it did not cost her anything and she made over 16 million. so moms can sit all the way down on that lie!
I knew there was a problem when E advertised the special as "Kim's Wedding" what? Who does that? A wedding the union of TWO people. They didn't even put his name in the title of the show. I know that had something to do with money. This is just sad...
