The Spin Crowd star Jonathan Cheban has reportedly sought legal advise about launching a $5 million libel or defamation action against the basketball player — who split from the socialite after 72 days of marriage in October — after he called him “gay” during a filmed exchange.
“Jonathan was offended,” a source said. “He is not gay and Kris’ comments were derogatory, a slur against his character and given it’s being broadcast on a program that airs internationally, it has the potential to cause serious damage to Jonathan’s reputation.”
It is believed Kris mocked Jonathan because he had never hooked up with Kim during their friendship, with the “fight” filmed for Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
“There is a huge fight in the episode, between Jonathan and Kris. Kris repeats the slur, over and over again, so much so that Jonathan stops talking to Kris at one point, during the series,” the soruce added.
“Kris uses some seriously ugly and homophobic language.
“The bottom line is Jonathan is not gay. This just goes to show how ignorant and immature Kris was during his marriage to Kim.”

R U for real if he can sue him for that then we all should be able to sue the tea party for being racist. People are starting to take this celebrity shit too far we are being brought into a world with no free speech.

I don't think he should be able to sue him. Jonathan Cheban is a fame whore, just like that whore Kim. He signed a release to allow this to be filmed and aired. Did the release have some kind of stipulation about if something derogatory is said about him, it should be edited out or he can sue? Point is, when you choose to have your life filmed for the world to see, chances are, there's going to be some stuff that comes out or is said that you don't think represents you in the best light. So suck it up....next time just don't sign the release or hang out with Kim while there's a camera crew with her. And if you ask me, this helped him if he wanted the word out that he wasn't gay. I SWORE he was gay, so Kris saying it and him denying it is the only way I know he's straight.

shouldn't he be suing the writers on the show who made Kris say those things....Not derogatory if they are true, how will be prove they aren't true? His word against Kris' (and ours and the judge, who will also see his gay tendencies and throw out the law suit)
