Journalist Candice Bushnell, who's sex column was the basis for 'Sex and the City', has discovered her years younger husband is having an affair.

The feisty sex columnist and novelist who inspired Carrie Bradshaw has taken the dramatic step of naming beautiful “Nutcracker” ballerina Pazcoguin, who danced with Askegard for eight seasons in the New York City Ballet, as a co-respondent in her divorce proceedings.
Sources tell us Bushnell discovered Askegard’s alleged affair with Pazcoguin after they had agreed to separate. One source said, “The divorce was proceeding amicably, then Candace found out about Georgina and became very upset. She believes their affair could have gone on for some time. Humiliated, it was her idea to take the unusual step of naming Georgina as a co-respondent in the divorce papers.”
We exclusively reported on Sunday that Bushnell, 53, is divorcing Askegard, who is 10 years her junior, after nine years. She said in a pointed statement, “I respect his desire to pursue his own happiness and hope that we will continue to be friends.”
Askegard left the NYC Ballet after 24 years in October to set up his own company, Ballet Next.
But Pazcoguin was a guest at his retirement party hosted by Bushnell on Oct. 9. There are even pictures of Askegard and Pazcoguin together at the after-party believed to have been held at Bushnell’s apartment.
Weeks later Askegard and Pazcoguin, who became an apprentice with the NYC Ballet in 2002 and joined the company as a member of the corps de ballet in 2003, performed together at the Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala.
Bushnell declined to comment last night. Askegard told us, “I respectfully decline to comment further regarding this matter. Georgina has no comment at this time either.”
