If you were upset to hear Rihanna recorded two songs with her once estranged ex Chris Brown, you won’t be too happy about the latest news. E! News is reporting that RiRi and Chris have been approached to perform together on FOX’s hit show American Idol. “They want Chris and Rihanna to reunite on the show,” an insider told E!Jacked from Celebuzz

Following the shocking news that Rihanna had collaborated with Chris on a track called “Birthday Cake,” the song’s producer The Dream admitted to MTV that it was the “S&M” singer’s idea. “At the end of the day, she’s my friend, so whatever she wants to do is whatever she wants to do,” he said during his appearance on RapFix. Dream added, “He’s kid, and she was a kid when this happened.”
The single’s release comes a few years after in 2009, Chris brutally assaulted Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards and was sentenced to serve five years of probation and six months of community service.
