The Best I Ever Had music star was raised by his mother after his parents divorced when he was five, and recalls occasionally waiting in vain for his father to visit him.
However, his relationship with his dad, Dennis Graham, is now mended after Drake absolved him of any parenting responsibilities.
The star tells GQ magazine, "Me and my dad are friends. We're cool. I'll never be disappointed again, because I don't expect anything anymore from him. I just let him exist, and that's how we get along. We laugh. We have drinks together. But I spent too many nights looking by the window, seeing if the car was going to pull up. And the car never came."
Graham is a former drummer, and worked with veteran rock 'n' roll star Jerry Lee Lewis.

Men always think that they can stay away for most of your upbringing and then come back later with very little to say or to understand. It said that you have to have no expectation when it comes to your father just to have a decent relationship with them. They think as a parent that the most important thing that they did for you was to bust a nut.
