Oprah Nabs Bobbi Kristina's First Interview

Oprah Winfrey sits down with Bobbi Kristina Brown for her first interview since the death of her mother, Whitney Houston.
Oprah Winfrey has secured an exclusive interview with the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

It's a massive coup for the talk show behemoth, who attended Houston's Newark funeral with her family.

The talk will be broadcasted on Oprah’s Next Chapter airing Sunday, March 11 at 9 p.m, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As well as what can only be a compelling conversation with Bobbi Kristina, Winfrey will speak to Houston’s sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston, and brother Gary Houston.

A release from the network reads: 'Bobbi Kristina shares personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered.

The family also addresses the rumours and speculation surrounding Houston’s death.'

Before the interview at 7 p.m., OWN will re-air its special, Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview, which features the singer’s 2009 interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Winfrey’s own personal memories of the star.

It was during a 2009 interview with Oprah that Bobbi's mother described her father as a 'drug.'

Houston, who was making a music comeback after seven years, told Winfrey that she and Brown took cocaine and marijuana during their marriage.

'He (Brown) was my drug,' Houston added. 'I didn't do anything without him.'

Houston said she was attracted to Brown because he took control of their relationship and had 'a sweet, gentle tenderness.'

'At home, he was very much the father, he was very much the man,' Houston said.

'He was very much in control. I liked that. When he said something, I listened. I was very interested in having someone have that kind of control over me. It was refreshing.'

The singer, who died at the age of 49 on February 11, described her drug use, saying it became 'heavy' after her 1992 movie 'The Bodyguard.'

Oprah seems like she is always there to GRAB something; it used to be a time I RESPECTED Oprah because her television show had topics that HELPED people. Nowadays it just seems that she is more of an OPPORTUNIST. She couldn't even let Whitney rest and her family start to heal and have closure for at leat 90 days before she wants to keep pouring salt into wounds that have just begun to heal. Maybe it's just me but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Xtina didn't have to do the interview. Nobody is forcing her. She wants money, plain and simple. How much did orca pay you Krissy? pathetic that you would even consider an interview so early after your mothers death. This lil girl is thirsty and I'm convinced now has a drug habit. No way she would do this for free. I don't see good things in her future. Why WHy WHY would you do this Krissy? unless you are super screwed up. All of Whitneys family, even her only child getting what they can from her. I see why Bobby Brown was demonized for so long...to hide the rest of these leeches that Whitney was supporting.

You are like those people who only see what is in front of them.

Do you know what kind of drug debts WH had? The kind only O can pay off. Don't be so high and mighty, Bobbi Kriss was made an offer she couldn't refuse.

She should wait at least a year before interviews. Grieve in peace. This is just Oprah's trying to boost ratings for her network. Just because they air a tribute show to Whitney doesn't means Bobbi owes her a dang thing.

What can Bobbi Kristina possibly tell that we don't already know? what is she going to talk about, we know everything we need to know so what is the point of her saying anything?
