Justin Bieber often charters private jets for he and girlfriend Selena Gomez, but Selena's parents are not allowed to fly with them, even to the same location.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may have hit a mile-high speed bump in their fairy-tale relationship. A source close to Gomez says Bieber’s pampering of the onetime Disney princess does not necessarily extend to her family on air travel. The pint-sized pop phenom has rented a private jet on multiple occasions to whisk himself, Gomez and, occasionally, their pals to faraway locations. But the insider says Gomez’s' parents, Amanda (Mandy) Teefey and stepfather Brian Teefey, don’t rate the same treatment. “They’ve been asked to fly commercial” when accompanying their daughter and her Canadian boyfriend to the same locations, says the source. While this hasn’t been enough of an annoyance to prompt Gomez to parachute out of the relationship, the source says that some of the actress/singer’s friends aren’t happy about the situation, and have told her to kick her 18-year-old boyfriend to the tarmac. Bieber, estimated to have a net worth of about $105 million, doesn’t own a jet, but Yahoo! reported last fall that he often travels in a rented Cessna Citation X, known as the world’s fastest business jet. The plane, which sports Rolls-Royce engines and seats that turn into beds, fits up to eight passengers — room enough, it would seem, for Gomez’s ’rents to fly in style. The “Baby” singer would have to drop $22 million to buy the aircraft, but chartering isn’t cheap either. According to the Yahoo! report, the XOJet service that Bieber uses charges $12,000 to $19,000 for a single trip.Jacked from New York Daily News
