Rehearsal footage from Madonna's upcoming MDNA Tour shows Madonna performing an Express Yourself / Born This Way mash-up that clearly shows how much GaGa ripped her sound.
They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but Madonna's recent cover of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" might not be seen as such.
While rehearsing for her M.D.N.A. tour, the Material Mom made it a point to mashup her classic song "Express Yourself" with Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."
An interesting selection, because music fans have been quick to point out the similarity between those two songs -- something that hasn't been lost on Madge.
"When I heard ['Born This Way'] on the radio, I said that sounds very familiar. It feels reductive," she told "20/20" earlier this year. "I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. ... It's a statement about taking something that was in the zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it."
She went on to say that she "can't really be annoyed by it because, obviously, I've influenced her." The rehearsal footage was taped just before Madonna kicked off her world tour in Israel over the weekend.Jacked from The Indy Channel

Madonna is right...Lady KAKA did steal her style. Both these ho's need to sit down for a while.
Would you rather see no talent like Brey and RIRI just shaking ass! Gaga gives a wonderful show, includes her fans, gives back and can carry a conversation with Ivory leagers...much more than a pretty face and FAKE body.
Why is it that Madonna has to be mocking her? how come she can't just be paying tribute to her? They are both Italian they stick together. Doesn't anyone remember their skit on Saturday night live? there was no beef then. You have to love the media I am sure madonna is flattered especially since she paved the way not to mention Gaga is a way better performer then madonna she has many talents. No one is ripping Bey for trying to be the next Janet
This is classic Madonna. She is the original media attention whore. She is mocking Gaga because that what Madonna does. Madonna spent half the 1980s mocking the Pope; Lady Gaga should be thanking her lucky stars (pun intended), that Madonna is just mocking her and not suing her for stealing her song!

Just look up Madonna's "Express Yourself" on youtube. Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" sounds exactly the same, note for note.
It's not even like Gaga took some minor hit or obscure album track; "Express Yourself" was at the top of the charts back in 1989.
