Martin Lawrence New Sit-Com Dropped?

If you were looking forward to Martin Lawrence's return to TV you just may have to keep on waiting.

HSK Exclusive - It looks like CBS doesn’t think Martin Lawrence can cut it in the world of comedy.
That’s because the ‘big three’ giant has dropped Lawrence’s untitled sitcom, which was set to star Martin alongside Regina Hall. Don’t believe me.. Ask John Amos.
Here’s the drop: “CBS dropped Martin’s new pilot, Martin couldn’t pull off playing the single parent role. Martin was like Tony Danza in ‘Who’s The Boss’, it was a single parent comedy sitcom. The only difference is ‘Who’s The Boss’ was a hit, Martin’s rip off version didn’t make the cut.”
The project, which was picked up only a few months back, was written by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger and produced by CBS TV Studios, was to star Lawrence as a widowed father of two teenagers who, after losing his job in construction, decides to go to the police academy and become a cop at the age of 46.
Is Martin Lawrence currently going through a divorce because his family was meddling in his marriage? The answer to that question is yes. Don’t believe me.. Ask Martin Lawrence’s soon to be divorced wife Shamicka.

Ok, maybe it's just me but what does Martin currently going through a divorce because of his family's meddling in his marriage have to do with his sitcom not getting picked up?
