David Arquette files for divorce from his wife Courtney Cox on the eve of their 13th wedding anniversary.
DAVID Arquette has hammered the nail in the coffin of his marriage to Courteney Cox and filed for divorce, two years after the couple separated.
The Scream stars separated in 2010 and on Friday, Arquette finally filed legal papers in a Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.
He is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's daughter, Coco, who turns eight on Wednesday.
According to the documents, obtained by TMZ.com, Arquette, who is now dating U.S. TV reporter Christina McLarty, will be representing himself in the divorce.
Ironically, the news of the divorce falls on the 13th anniversary of Arquette and Cox's wedding day.
The couple have remained close following their break-up and have continued to work together as TV and film production partners.Jacked from The Sun

I'm sad for them but I guess its for the best - i actually think this is one couple who will be mature about it and do what is best for the kids without all the tabloid innuendo and back stabbing
