ADELE used to get so drunk before taking to the stage she once toppled off a stool during a concert, a new biography claims.
The Rolling In The Deep songbird also forgot the words to one of her hits. She later described her memory lapse as “the worst thing ever”, according to the biography out next month.
The book quotes the chart-topping superstar as admitting: “I got so drunk by the time I went on at 2am I had forgotten the words to my own songs.”
Adele hit the booze early in her career because of “boys who treated her badly”, the North Londoner’s unofficial biographer Marc Shapiro told an American magazine.
Her first taste of being left lovelorn was when a bisexual boyfriend cheated on her, according to his book Adele: The Biography.
Revealing the eight-time Grammy winner’s anguish, the book says: “Adele would drink more than normal to salve the heartbreak.” It goes on: “Midway through her first tour, she allegedly had a drinking problem.”
Shapiro has previously penned biographies of Justin Bieber and Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
He said as publishers geared up to release his latest on Adele, who has also won three Brit Awards: “She loved the drama surrounding boys who treated her badly.”

nubian... calm down. they're UNAUTHORIZED biographies. adele ain't got nothing to do w/this book. if anything, be mad at the sneaky cunts who most likely make up stuff about folks like her to sell books. it's like a 200 pg tabloid story.
