AFTER 16 years, MELANIE GRIFFITH has finally walked out on hubby ANTONIO BANDERAS, say sources!
“It’s over between Melanie and Antonio,” a longtime pal told The ENQUIRER. “She’s finally reached the breaking point over his wandering eye.”
As The ENQUIRER has reported, the 54-year-old “Working Girl” star was smacked with a double-barreled cheating scandal when her hunky Spanish hubby, 51, was linked to stunning young hotties at the Cannes Film Festival and a Cancun nightclub.
“Melanie went to pieces, and they argued terribly,” the source said.
The two have barely seen each other recently. Following his antics at Cannes in May, they spent just one night together in Los Angelesbefore Antonio headed to Spain to film “I’m So Excited” with Oscar win¬ner Penelope Cruz. And he didn’t even bother to accompany Melanie when she was honored with a Lifetime Achieve¬ment Award at the Munich Film Festival in early July.
“Even though Tony could have hopped a commuter flight from Spain to Germany, Melanie accepted the award alone,” said the source. “She flew home to California without even seeing him.
“After that, Melanie thought long and hard about the future. She finally realized there was no way the marriage could be repaired.”
In mid-July, Melanie headed off to Hawaii with the couple’s 15-year-old daughter Stella, said the source.
As The ENQUIRER previously reported, the screen stars’ marital woes could explode in a $50 million divorce!

I'm surprised they lasted this long. I think he was married at the time he hooked up with her. She probably got tired of him cheating and wanted out of the relationship a long time ago, but stayed in order to keep up appearances.
