SYLVESTER Stallone’s son Sage lay dead in his room for FOUR days before he was found, it was reported last night.
Sage, 36 — who died of a suspected pills overdose — often spent days alone “like Howard Hughes”, surrounded by cigarette butts, beer and food.
As movie legend Sly, 66, spoke of his grief, a police source told respected US website TMZ that his son was living like a hermit at his LA apartment and no one had spoken to him for a week.
Police have ruled out foul play or criminal activity.
But bottles of prescription drugs were found at Sage’s home on Mulholland Drive. His housekeeper was said to be under strict instructions never to enter his room. Eventually Sage’s mother Sasha Czack asked her to check after failing to reach her son on the phone.
