Before we, the public, had time to blink, the Katie Holmes divorce petition against Tom Cruise has already turned into a divorce settlement.
It was that easy, apparently. Katie Holmes is not anywhere near the vapid airhead the media portrayed her to be back when she was first smitten with Tom Cruise in 2005. Tabloids in those days enjoyed making fun of her allegedly vacuous stare and automated media responses. However, as the events of the last two weeks show, Holmes is no Valley Girl.
Both TMZ and Radar Online have speculated that Holmes has been planning her divorce "ambush" for months, perhaps even up to a year. She made sure they resided in New York, a state which is not a no-fault divorce state, and which fact would have allowed her to pursue Cruise’s much-speculated-about transgressions and secrets.Jacked from The Examiner

Tom Cruise seems so brainwashed so you are going to settle a divorce quiclky because Scientology does not want there name in the spotlight in a negative way? I have never heard of any church like environment do anything like that because why they are spiritually advance they usually are not powerful in the corporate world unless they are already corrupted. Loving your God comes first but why would a religion tell you to be less of a parent and husband?
