Christina Aguilera Not Concerned About Commercial Success

Christina Aguilera makes music for herself and is not concerned about commercial success.

CHRISTINA Aguilera says she only makes music for herself, and doesn’t care if her albums bomb commercially.
The pop star’s 2010 collection Bionic suffered poor sales – and she insists she won’t be kept awake at night if her upcoming disc Lotus follows suit.
Christina claims she runs the risk of alienating fans by making music that caters exclusively to her own artistic tastes.
She said: “I've already put out a greatest hits record, so I've been in this business for a while, and I'm a risk-taker, that's just who I am at heart.
“It's who I can't help but be. It's who I always am in nature, as a person and as an artist.
“With that comes hurdles and certain areas where people aren't going to get it and understand it artistically; sometimes it will go over their heads and it will not be as commercially successful.”

This is exactly what someone says when they know they are about to flop. And if she only makes music for herself like she claims then why does she release it to the public? If its only for you and you don't care what people think then keep it to yourself because you haven't made decent music since your back to basic album in 06.
