Lawsuit Reveals Michael Jackson Was a 'Basket-Case' Before His Death

Michael Jackson was in dire need of psychiatric help weeks before he died, emails from a lawsuit reveal.

MICHAEL Jackson was a booze-fuelled “basket case” in the weeks before he died, shock new documents reveal.
They show Jacko didn’t rehearse, needed pyschiatric treatment and refused to sing at practices before his attempted comeback.
Weeks before Jacko’s This Is It shows in London, director Kenny Ortega called for a psychiatrist — emailing how the King of Pop missed rehearsals, struggled with routines and faced miming some of his biggest hits.
He wrote: “MJ is not in shape enough yet to sing this stuff live and dance at the same time.”
One production manager also wrote: “He was a basket case.” The revelations emerged in emails between bosses at the promoters AEG.
MD Randy Phillips said: “We have a real problem here,” in an email to chief exec Tim Leiweke.
Mr Phillips also told how Jacko would get drunk.
AEG faces a US legal fight with insurance firm Lloyds over whether the brokers should pay £15million for Jacko’s failure to perform — caused by his death on June 25, 2009 from a drug overdose.
Lloyds want a judge to scrap a £10million policy they say AEG secured with false claims about Jackson’s health. And the singer’s heirs accuse AEG of pressuring the star to carry on.
AEG’s lawyers deny any wrongdoing.

AEG knew he wasn't in shape. Who was the doctor who stated he was okay to fulfill his obligations? This was about money.

They just need to say depression (bipolar). MJ hasn't been well for years.

His transformation, addictions, excessive spending, recluse behavior is and always will be associated with mental illness.

Mental illness makes you feel alone and sometimes the fight is alone. Self medication is away to stop the pain.

MJ and Whitney endured a lot of pain and the burden was too much.

I truly believe they were ready to sleep. There music will always be in rotation.

Bipolar fits. I was thinking about that shopping spree on the Martin Bashir special.

He just seemed to randomly pick stuff and had no care about the cost. He seemed to be in a manic state.

Those greedy bastards! He thought he had only signed up for 10 shows but the vampires wanted him to perform 50 shows! GREED GREED GREED!

And now they STILL want to pick his bones with their DEMONIC GREED! The love of money is the ROOT
OF ALL EVIL!!!!!!!!

And in other shocking news...at this very moment, somewhere on this earth, the sun is now shining.

If he was mentally ill it is because the industry made him that way.

I think MJ's erratic behavior was because he was trying to break free of the demons of the industry. He wanted to live a normal live but never got a real chance. just seclusion here and there. The PTB weren't having it and proved so on June 25, 2009.

He was worth more dead than alive. Isn't that what they always say?

@8:11. I wish people would stop saying that. Let's be real here. Joe Jackson is not the only father that used corporal punishment back in those days and those children are not the only ones that experienced it. We all came out fine. Go ahead with that bull shit now. For real. And NO! MJ wasn't the only child star to ever miss out on things as a child. Those kids are okay too. Shut the hell up with this shit. For real. And Yes. I am a HUGE MJ fan. I'm just being honest about that.
