19th time's the charm for Brooke Mueller as she desperately tries to clean up her act with her 19th stay in rehab.
Brooke Mueller is trying to clean up her act – again.
The troubled ex-wife of Charlie Sheen checked back into rehab Monday night to seek treatment for an addiction to Adderall, a psycho-stimulant drug commonly used for attention deficit disorder (ADD), according to TMZ.
This would be the whopping 19th time Mueller has tried to seek professional help for her issues with drugs.
"Brooke was uncomfortable with the way Adderall was making her behave," Mueller's attorney, Yale Galanter, told the gossip site.
Mueller, 35, was rushed to the hospital last week after reportedly overdosing on prescription pills. However, according to Galanter, Mueller didn’t have any illegal drugs in her system when she was admitted to the hospital. Her rep at the time said she was simply “diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration.”
"Brooke continues her lifelong battle with drug addiction by taking these steps herself to prevent a further drug relapse," Galanter told TMZ.
According to TMZ, Mueller's twin 3-year-old sons with Sheen have been placed under the care of Sheen's previous ex-wife Denise Richards. While the actor will be busy shooting his TV sitcom "Anger Management," Richards will reportedly care for the children for "an indefinite period of time."
Mueller underwent a 90-day treatment program in early 2012 after she was charged for assaulting a woman last December in a Colorado nightclub and possessing four grams of cocaine. She is currently on probation and most recently sought treatment over the summer.
