Marc Anthony Breaks Up with Model Shannon de Lima

Marc Anthony breaks up with his girlfriend of one year, model Shannon de Lima, amid reports of hooking up with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.

Marc Anthony and girlfriend Shannon de Lima have split up after a year.

And the news has been confirmed just days after the singer is alleged to have met up with his ex-wife and mother of his two children, Jennifer Lopez.

'Marc is no longer dating model Shannon de Lima,' his spokesperson Blanca Lasalle told People magazine.

'The amicable breakup became official right in mid-January.'

De Lima and Anthony, who went public with the romance last January on Twitter by calling his model girlfriend 'my statue of liberty' and having himself inked with this mark to celebrate this moment... seemed to be relatively calm and happy.

The couple were spotted on January 16 in New York City at Marquee, where a source observed: 'Shannon was dancing up a storm with her friends while sipping champagne and taking iPhone photos of the themselves and the light show. At one point, Shannon even jokingly gave Marc a lap dance when Pitbull came on.'

But a mole told People: 'The truth is they have been having a great time together, but it no longer worked.'

Anthony, 44, was married to Jennifer Lopez for seven years.

The former American Idol' judge - who has been dating her back-up dancer Casper Smart for more than a year - reportedly went to visit Marc Anthony, who is the father of her four-year-old twins Emme and Max, at his New York hotel.

A source told the New York Post's Page Six that the 43-year-old beauty spent two and a half hours with the Latin singer at 'The Mark' hotel, who was later seen emerging with his head down in a bid to go unnoticed.
