Adele Back in the Studio

Adele's maternity leave has finally come to an end and the powerhouse singer is back in the studio.

ADELE was always going to get bored of polishing awards and counting up her cash.

The singer is back in the studio for the first time since giving birth last October.

And considering the success of her multi-award-winning second album 21, expectation will be huge for the follow-up.

Which might be why she’s got two of the UK’s best producers/songwriters on board — JAMES FORD and KID HARPOON.

These lads have worked with FLORENCE WELCH, ARCTIC MONKEYS and JESSIE WARE. James produced on the Arctics’ Humbug and FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE albums Lungs and Ceremonials.

Kid Harpoon, real name Tom Hull, worked on Ceremonials tracks and three from Jessie’s album Devotion.

A source said: “Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible.

“The team she’s assembled is first rate and she’s confident they can help match the success of her first two albums. “It’s no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it.”

Adele released 21 in 2011 — three years after her first album, 19.

If she keeps to form, fans should expect to hear the new album next year — when she’ll be 25.

But there’s no guarantees she will name the album after her age like the others. Adele always intended not to rush. In 2011, she said: “I imagine I’ll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven’t even thought about my third record yet.

“I’m just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just ‘be’ for a bit.

“I’ll disappear and come back with a record when it’s good enough.”

Given her first albums were littered with songs inspired by heartache, the third has the potential to be bordering on uplifting.

Since 21, Adele has settled down with SIMON KONECKI, had a baby boy and won an Oscar, Grammy and Brit Award in the space of a month for her James Bond track, Skyfall.

That’s enough reason to write an album filled with content that would even make 007 DANIEL CRAIG smile.
