Rita Ora blasted by fans after posting photos of herself with a gun shortly after the Boston Bombing.
The world is in shock following the horrific bombings at the Boston Marathon.
So perhaps when everyone is reeling from a senseless, violent act, it probably wasn't the best time for Rita Ora to post an Instagram photo of her posing with a gun.
The British singer, 22, was accused of glamorising gun crime as she posed with a gold handgun, despite assuring her online followers it was fake.
Captioning the image of herself posing with R&B star Cassie, 26, and singer/actress Adrienne Bailon, 29, she wrote: '#rockabyeangels @casandrae @adrienne_bailon #fakegoldguns of course!'
Several Instagram followers commented on the photo, with one named 'mitchacarter' blasting her: 'You are an idiot. Young children look up to you. Fake or not, promoting guns to look 'cool' is totally out of order.'
Another named 'benjiman21' wrote: 'Lets promote gun crime. #d**khead #stupid #dumb #unnecessary #notcool #thinkaboutwhatyouredoing #influential #useyourpowerwell.'
One fan wrote on Twitter: 'Bit distasteful of rita ora to upload pictures of herself with guns on Insta' given the situation.'
However, Rita showed she was thinking of the victims of the Boston bombings as she followed the controversial image up moments later with another Instagram image of the worlds 'pray for Boston'.
Apparently the images were taken on Sunday night, however Rita, Cassie and Adrienne only got round to posting them on Monday afternoon - shortly after the bombings.
The trio has been partying with stylists Deonte Nash and Kyle Devolle at the Frank Sinatra house in Palm Springs on Sunday following the Coachella Festival.
Rita's new friendship with former Cheetah Girls star Adrienne will come as a surprise to their respective ex-boyfriend Rob Kardashian.
Adrienne dated and lived with Rob from 2007 until 2009, while Rita split from the reality star last December after a very stormy long-distance romance.
Rita's posting comes five months after former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan caused a Twitter storm by re-posting an old photo of her holding a gun to her head following the Sandy Hook massacre.
She later apologised and took the photo down, claiming she was 'hungover' when she posted it and branded it 'the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my life'.Jacked from The Daily Mail

It is still stupid ignorant behavior taking pic with guns young thugs did this back in the day now so called female rapper/performers are regressing to this dispicable behavior for attn???? Yeah I understand fully why folks are annoyed because how hard is it to utilize common sense!

Uh what does guns have to do with bombs? Those are two different weapons.
The fearmongering over guns has got to stop. Guns have been in existence for hundreds of years and no matter how much the left-wing yuppies are going to complain they are NOT going anywhere.
really bad timing.....one could think
There were no guns involved in the boston bombing.
This story is so stupid. What does guns have to do with the Boston bombing?
