Kardashian family friends are blaming an out of control drug abuse problem for Lamar Odom's serial cheating.
Is Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's marriage in trouble due to drug abuse?
Despite reports that the two's relationship was on the rocks because Odom had been unfaithful to his wife of almost four years, the NBA star has reportedly had a problem with recreational drugs for the past two years, according to TMZ.
Odom allegedly checked into a rehab center in San Diego last August and Kardashian, 29, reportedly hired a private investigator to stand guard outside the center so Odom would not leave.
A source told the gossip site that Odom, 33, constantly threatened to check out but ended up staying for three weeks before leaving for good.
The husband of the famed reality starlet supposedly remained clean once he left rehab and it did not affect his basketball season with the Los Angeles Clippers this past year.
However, allegedly when the season was over he "slipped deep back into hardcore recreational drugs."
As far as the cheating rumors go, Karadashin reportedly is convinced it did in fact happen but the drug use is the main problem in their marriage right now.
"Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage," one source told TMZ on the troubled couple.
"The situation has become dire," the site states.
The whole Kardashian family staged an intervention this past week so Odom would go back to get help but he wanted no part in it.
A rep for Kardashian has not yet returned a request for comment.Jacked from The NY Daily News
